Steve Odabashian graduated from the University of Virginia in 1991 with a BS in Economics. He also received his JD from the Villanova University School of Law in 1995. At Villanova, Steve served as the President of the Student Bar Association and graded onto the Villanova Law Review. After working for a year with a large defense litigation firm in Philadelphia, Steve moved to Tokyo, Japan for the next three years. In Tokyo, Steve served as the only foreign associate for the largest and oldest law firm in Japan, Yuasa and Hara. He also handled all of the firm’s French-English and English-French translation. In addition, Steve served as the main English language editor for the Bank of Japan (equivalent of the Fed). He still freelances for the Bank of Japan these days.
While in Japan, Steve taught and tutored GMAT, TOEFL and SAT courses for hundreds of students. He also served as the Assistant Director of the Princeton Review of Japan’s MBA Counseling Program. In this capacity, Steve helped students gain admission to the world’s most prestigious MBA programs. Steve scored a 780 on his GMAT (6.0 AWA) and was admitted to Columbia Business School in 1999.
In 1999, Steve returned to America, where he started trading and making market in equity options on the American Stock Exchange. In 2001, Steve moved back to his hometown of Philadelphia, where he worked for Susquehanna International Group for the next five years as an equities trader in their NASDAQ group.
Steve also plays the piano professionally in area hotels, bars and events. He has been featured on several TV commercials, radio programs and news stories in his capacity as a comedian and/or impersonator of Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid. Most Sunday mornings during the autumn, Steve is featured on Philadelphia’s CBS affiliate station during its “Tailgate Takeover” segment. In fact, Steve was recently named Philadelphia’s Best Local Comedian in the November 3, 2006 Readers’ Poll Issue of the City Paper. He is currently on the contestant waiting list for Jeopardy, after having passed its written exam for the fourth year in a row. Steve is the all-time record holder on VH1’s short-lived game show, “Name that Video”, where Steve won a Toyota 4Runner for his efforts.
